Nuclear Medicine

The Nuclear Medicine department uses the latest technology to detect abnormalities within the body.  A gamma camera is used to detect radioisotopes that are injected into the patient to form an on-screen image of an organ.  This image, interpreted by a board certified nuclear radiologist, allows your physician to assess the function of the organ and recommend appropriate treatment.
